what is the best final fantasy game and why im thinking about buying another i already have X and X-2 so once again what is the best final fantasy game for ps2

considering that you can play FF7 on the ps2, i would go for that. final fantasy VII, although lacking graphics, is the most amazing game out there. i mean, buy it immediately. it also has a nice battle system, not the best but still fun, its just the thing that makes it great is the storyline, which is incredible. out of all the final fantasy games, 7 is hands down the best.

Final Fantasy VII in PS1 is definately the best in terms of storyline in the series, it can tell from the compilation that released, or you may try out the Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cewrberus in PS2, below is the compilations and i think there will be more coming soon:

for the ps2 its X-2 but for ps1 FX 88 its the best

Final FanstasyX and easier than X-2,but X-2 is the conclusion to X and also has a good start because Yuna(imposter) is singing at the begginning.

Actually I think FFVII and FFVIII are two of the best. I would recommend both. they are for the playstation buuuut they are must haves in the final fantasy series. FFIX kinda sucks in my opinion I wouldn't waste the money on it.

i think its final fantasy 7&9 but there on ps1 you might get them at a used game store though or on e-bay

i'd have to go with VII b/c i just thought the story was mindblowing, super evil boss - sephiroth, well built characters - red xiii, cloud, aeris, tifa, i loved the 'weapon' enemies - extra challenge to the game, the materia levelling up system rocked, the cut scenes that were missing from the earlier versions were awesome as well!
FFXII release for halloween 2006!
