Yes me.
I have not seen a movie since 1982 because of the trash.
I quit watching TV in the 1970s for the same reason.

Men are more likely to be stimulated by visual material, such as TV and movies, than are women.
Women are more likely to respond to emotional material, such as feelings.
Here's an example: The book and movie, "Tuesdays with Morie," is about a very loving -- but non-sexual -- relationship between two heterosexual men. One is old and dying, the other is the dying man's former student. Although the story is about two men, it appeals to women because of the strong emotion that is portrayed. Guys call it a "chick flick."
On the other hand, pornographic films have no plot, horrible -- in any -- acting, and certainly no serious emotion. If you've ever seen one of these movies, you'll notice that there is virtually no dialogue, no emotion, just two or more naked people having casual sex. There's no commitment to a relationship, no communication between the characters that are depicted, and no "socially redeeming value," even though porn producers have been able to pay enough psychologists and sociologists to testify otherwise in court.
Right now -- at this very moment -- how many women do you know who just can't wait to see "The Devil Wears Prada," which is a comedy about relationships. How many men would go to see the film if they weren't coaxed into it by their girlfriends or wives?
In today's society, more people go to movies and watch TV (both visual) than read books. So, naturally producers and directors cater to that audience. Authors of books can take the time to develop their characters, to write about what they are feeling.
One last question: How many men belong to book discussion groups?

There may be what in your eyes is a large amount of sexual content on the media, but that is how our society is. Humans are by nature sexual beings. Also, for the most part, the US is and agencies censor our media so it is not as bad as it could be. Go to a European country and take a look at what their watching, and then you'll be glad you live here. As long as their is free speech, people are allowed to suggest what they want. I'm sure there would also be people saying "am i the only one upset with people who try to censor everything that they think is indecent or graphic."

To be honest, it doesn't bother me too much; but check it out. The society you live in can be seen in its most serious content by those who are in prison. I served six flat in Texas. See, most the people in prison are in there for abusing the things that make our society go round. So, you see that money and mundane riches are a big thing. You also see the feel-good element, the need to avoid reality. Then there is sex. Sex is one the major things in our society. This is a bad thing in some ways, in others it is fun. I guess it is a matter of your...morals and ethics. Me, I got a girlfriend with kids, but I still look at other women(as respectfully as possible-not gawking!!!). I still see the sexual content in tv and movies and all the other stuff we see, and even learn from it sometimes. It doesn't bother me much because I know where I sit, and because I've walked on the bad side my morals are probably a little screwy. Hope that helps a little.

The problem with answering your question is it is reflective on your own cultural upbringing. If you ask a feminist, they will say that all the sexual content is demeaning to women, but look at Japan where sexual content, much more extreme than here, is common on TV, yet they have very low rates of rape, and women are gaining ground rapidly in male dominated fields. If you ask a Canadian feminist, than they would say that sexual content should be restricted from males, but not females. A good example of that was ten years ago when they got a bill passed to make it illegal to own or sell books, magazines, or video of women being sexually battered, yet 65% of what was confiscated came from feminist or women's book stores. They fought to stop these raids. They meant for the law to only be applied to men.

I agree, there is too much sexual content on the media, and it is geared to guys because that is what so many of them want to see.
I see the same thing here, so many of the questions are disguating and perverse, if people spent 1/10 as much effort making the world a better place, we would see many changes.
We live in a world with so much opportunity to learn and do good and instead it seems ot be leading to more degeneration.

Not only is it annoying, but it is just outright demeaning. People expect women to look exactly as the media portrays them. It's gross and disgusting, and makes young girls strive for something that is not only unrealistic, but unhealthy.
I remember when I was 12 and this lady asked me how do I keep a good figure and still eat pizza every week and I looked at her with the most confused look! I did not grow up watching TV, so I did not have this warped idea of what I "should" look like.
And guys - you don't have to have a bunch of hair to be appealing, that's another HUGE myth!

It depends on who you are upset at. Surely not the media. You have to be upset with your neighbor, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, friends, ... they are the ones who create the demand. The media simply provides the supply.
In short most people love sex -- they like to do it, they like to see it .. And as for just for guys... have you been through the grocery store checkout counter recently ( with your young child?) Every form of sexual question blasts from the cover of WOMENS' magazines. These things are simply soft porn for the female shopper.
It will stop when we stop. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening.

the two magazines have sexual content textile. they have matters on all factors of sexuality, yet are meant to be informative, not pornographic. some issues they talk could be considered as very image, and that i can understand your mom and dad wanting you to hold off gaining wisdom of roughly a number of those issues, as they are meant for greater mature females. Why do not you grant to purchase your mom the two mag, permit her verify out it and see for herself what there is to make certain, and then settle for her ruling on the issue. If she says sure, then be happy, if the respond is not any, then she has made a ruling and you're able to stay with that. Or, possibly grant to allow her verify out the mag each and each month, and if there are products in it that she does not desire you to make certain, then permit her get rid of those pages and supply you back the mag. possibly she would be able to be pleased with that grant. the two way, stable success, and love your mom and dad for the care they supply you, regardless of in case you don't love it. :)

You can't report for just that, that would be dumb..
but yes, I am fed up with all of the sexual content..
it's almost like Hollywood takes every opportunity to add in a little scene here a repulsive quip there...
annoying!
You just have to guard your heart and choose what you watch carefully!
