Good books for a future nurse?

I am wanting to start school in a couple years and am wondering what things I could be doing to be better prepared?

Books on anatomy, physiology, pharmacology (PDR)

Experience would better prepare you as well. Consider volunteering at your local hospital, nursing home, doctor's office, etc.
