Everyone's pain tolerance is different - if you have tried piercings and found them not painful, then you could handle a tattoo. If you can't handle the most basic of pain (ie. sliver, paper cut, etc.) then you won't be able to handle a tattoo. Also keep in mind that if you get a tattoo in a "fleshy" place, away from sensitive skin, or away from joints (or bones you can see thru your skin) then it will be less painful.

It can be uncomfortable, but it's not excruciating. Depends too where you get it done on the body, the closer it is to bone, the more it hurts. Plus its not constant pain, when the needle isn't touching you, you feel nothing. What I hate is all the wiping they do with the paper towels, I find that more irritating than the actual tattoo needle. Also the outline hurts a little more than the coloring.

For me, possibly a three some factors a 5. My discomfort tolerance is reasonable. I had wanted a tattoo yet became into afraid of the discomfort so I consistently instructed my husband i'd get one when I had given beginning. whilst in comparison with hard paintings, it became into no longer something! some human beings circulate numb a jiffy in, mine never went numb. The shading became right into somewhat extra painful than the define. The section that harm the main became into the white highlighting that they did on the tip. He went over a pair of spots that hadn't been touched for half-hour or extra, so as that they have been somewhat delicate. one element to undergo in ideas is that discomfort is relative. what's painful for one guy or woman won't be extra desirable than a minor annoyance to the subsequent.

It's uncomfortable, but different people have different tolerances. I was told before I got mine that the outlining hurt the worse. I found the coloring in part the most painful. But, not unbearable pain. A broken bone or a badly sprained ankle hurts much worse.

Pretty much agree with most - its more annoying than painful. And depends on where it is. My first one was a small tattoo on my chest, which is probably the least painful spot for most women. The one on my ankle hurt the most. But it hasnt ever hurt enough to stop me from getting several of them.

I have 5 tattoos. Mine hurt more or less depending on where they are. The ones that I have that are over a bone hurt a lot more then the ones further away from the bone. I guess it depends on your tolerance for pain. One of my friends got a band all the way around her upper arm and she actually vomited when they were tattooing the underside of her arm. It all depends on you.

It depends on the person. I've gotten 2 so far, consisting 5 on my left arm and 3 on my right. Both times they hurt for me but its addictive. Try getting a small one just to experience it. Then judge for yourself.

i have 7 tattoos its not a horrible pain, its more of annoying pain, some people really like it, it also depends in where you get it on your body, how heavy handed the artist is, and of course your natural pain tolerance.
