With the Internet, its place in popular culture in shows like Friends and movies like Boogie Nights, and studies that fail to link it to antisocial behavior, is porn even really taboo anymore? Or is it mainstream, a commodity like toliet paper or light beer?

Porn is already as common as deodorant or toothpaste. Because of its addictive quality, some individuals (mostly men) have allowed it to take over their lives.

Marriages and other "couples" relationships have suffered immense harm. The addicted individual substitutes images for a true relationship, diminishing real-life relationships, and losing the desire to put any effort into the real thing. Sadly, the fantasy images drive an individual toward increased isolation, and sometimes into violence. The easy-access images fool addicted individuals into thinking that women are available only for their pleasure and entertainment. This leads to a perverted perception of true life, and causes suffering to the addict, as well as those around him/her.

Probably not exactly like that in America. but pretty close. I am not complaining though. Did you know that even average couples can have their own Porn made public by professionals? Many apply on a daily basis.

It has not gained any acceptablitity for myself and those that I know. Yes I hear of people that need it but I think it cheapens the love one should have for a spouse. And those that want child pornography should be locked up!

I hope not! It is gross, it affects the quality of your relationships, and it is NOT good for kids to be seeing or hearing.
