By the idea of being a supreme power, there can never be a good dictator. No one person on earth should stand in the footsteps of God. We are a group scattered here and there and many voices are needed - not one.

Most dictators have taken over the rule by force to have that supreme power over others. That is an ugly thing.

If God gives us free will, what single human being has the right to take it from us? Or would want to?

I think that in many circumstances, an argument for benevolent dictatorship could be made....but only for a limited period. The problem becomes one of how to ensure the limits are preserved and how to keep the instruments of democrarcy alive during that period.
