It seems like most of them only care about money and run off to other countries as soon as they can?
And then we pass laws that make it EASIER for them to do that, like NAFTA and CAFTA and free-trade agreements with China? (Clinton had a hand in that too, granted, but Republicans (Bush and congress still push the ideas and love them)
Why don't companies seem to have any American pride?
NOTE: I am aware that some companies do have American pride, and they are great... this is directed to the seeming majority that would sell their children to satan if it increased profit margin .25 percent...

George Bush: your stats sound odd and your logic sounds off... 99 percent?
but that 1 percent has to provide a huge percent of the jobs... if your figures are correct? right?

Roadkill: interesting... business' first priority is the stock holder? not America... not the worker...
so selling nuclear weapons to terrorists is fine, because that's great profit and the stockholders love proft...
YOUR STATEMENT IS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH BUSINESS... GREED OVER PEOPLE...

"American Pride" is just a marketing gimmick. The rules of the corporate charters are always set up to take advantage of people and resources in order to make as much profit as possible. There is no consideration for how many resources will be left over for the future (unless it directly affects profits). All competitive thinking is used to convince people that if they work hard (don't get paid everything they are worth), sacrifice, wait until the next vacation, weekend, retirement, etc., then they have 'some' chance to be rich and live a life of luxury.
This thinking permeates all thinking, as though competitive business is always the best way to produce or increase our 'standard' of living. Unfortunately, business as it has become is actually cheating and stealing under the endorsement of the government. This is called Corporatism, which, in WWII was also called Fascism. It is when the corporations take over the government, and then the government no longer rules by moral or reasonable thought for the future, but only for the gain of profits and production in the present, disregarding any effects on stability or sustainability.

Also, read Thom Hartmann's book, "Unequal Protection".
The Boston Tea Party was a rebellion against the British King being under the influence of a corporation, not just about taxes.
We need to also take a step beyond American Pride, and have some backbone as human beings where we decide what the human race is collectively going to contribute to the universe in exchange for the resources we are using.

Is America Pro-Business or more to the point do American laws protect private property rights or violate them.
I don't blame companies moving off shore and out of the reach of greedy politicians. Their first responsibility is to the stock holders to do anything else would be dishonest.
Freedom and free trade go hand in hand. If you don't have free trade you don't have freedom.

Businesses seem to about the of taking from American rather than giving to Americans. Bush is obcessed with giving tax breaks to the rich businesses not to the middle class.

99% of all business are owned by small business owners who take pride in being "american"
So yes, Republicans are pro american.
Most liberals hate business owners, but fail to understand thats where jobs come from. Note the liberal greed when it comes to raping those businesses and employees of taxes.

Republicans (and Democrats for that matter)...let's just say Politicians are pro-money. Businesses pay them money to be pro-business.
None of the politicians are pro-America, or else they would be more concerned with what Bush is doing to our freedoms and our constitution than how much money they can put in their pocket.

you have it incorrect. it is not what's sweet for huge enterprise that runs conservative, it is the fact of small government. If government have been small and useful on the roles they do, then we does not decide for all the bureaucracies with out all the Bureaucracies we does not decide for all the taxes, with out all the taxes, there does not ought to be backroom bargains with government. we don't decide for super government. the only situation the government can do, is get interior the way of authentic advance. each regulation, act, mandate, or something that they approve will value money someplace, so somebody has to pay for it. companies do no longer pay taxes, human beings pay taxes. in my opinion, or value surpassed directly to the customer. For the main area, the marketplace can preserve itself, with minimum regulation, and strict regulations. enable the human beings preserve the human beings, families preserve families, and the government be the very final hotel for "bailout" for individuals Smaller government reward everybody different than for the people who artwork for the government. edit: Concernedcitizen - Your assertion is authentic appropriate to the Republican social gathering. they have been taken over via the neocons - study social liberal. The question worried conservatives. authentic conservatives have not been on top of problems with the social gathering for some time. And shall we be basic. The leaders interior the Democratic and Republican social gathering are basically as to blame, as plenty with the aid of fact the corporate hobbies, alongside with people who thought they deserved extra desirable than they'd locate the money for. fairly basic knows that the difficulty began whilst the federal government meddled in societal affairs. the all and sundry is to blame for letting it ensue.

Well if I start a business, its to provide something the public needs or wants and therefore to make money. I don't start a business to pay taxes or to provide jobs... those go along with it.

republicans are for businesses running themselves, with less government control.
The alternative is a socialized government. A good example of what would happen under a socialized gov't would be our public school system.
