Lexus RX is better for a female, unless you are going to be towing a boat. Then, get the VW.

Touareg is bigger, more capable off-road, has better looking interior, good handling. Lexus RX as it's based on Camry is more like a wagon with added rear axle, but it's definitely more reliable.

Lexus is better for anyone.The touareg has gotten bad reviews. Dont go for it!!!
The BMW mid sized SUV is nice too

lexus....it's girly. although i'm a fan of VW too.
don't get an SUV though. it contributes to global warming ... also guzzles gas which is expensive AND limited....means we have to stay up the middle east's a$S to get it.
