I have two daughters, the youngest is now 17, and I have a neice who is 13, so I am an expert on advice :) You could do fun things together first like going to the movies, hanging out playing video games, listen to music etc and see if you like a lot of the same things---and you'll know pretty quickly if he likes you too. Then the first kiss will just happen when the time is right. And if it turns out he's not that into you, is goofy and too immature, or you find someone else you like better, then you won't have to think about how you kissed him and it was embarrassing being around him later on. Hope this doesn't sound too much like a "Mom" lol Also can you talk to your own Mom about it? Hope your first kiss is something wonderful you'll always remember :) Suzy

listen, baby right now is not the time to be alone any where with a boy. boy's hormones are outraged and so are yours, try to focus your mind and time on something that you enjoy doing. i know your mom told you that once you take it to the next level that's it. your instances is yours protect as long as you can. once you kiss him he's going to ask for a feel, then he's going to keep doing all the things he can get you comfortable doing and then he's going to want to take it to the next level. then he's going to go on to the next 13 year girl just like you. it's OK to like someone but you don't have to act on it. believe if you wait until you get older to kiss make sure its someone special. now a days you don't know what these boys have and what they have been doing. what if he has herpes and don't tell you and you kiss him then next week you have all kinds of sores on your lips and tongue. think about it

Focus on school, not on boys. You can't have a decent future if you major in boys. They can come later, and I assure you, there are probably much better ones to come.
