buy the pro version of Limewire. I have had no probs with it and it is only $19

I've had great success with iTunes. You can download it for free. You have to pay $0.99 for each song but they also offer free downloads. Certain products that you buy offer codes to download for free.
I had KaZaA and it gave me a ton of viruses and crap.

honestly almost all- if not all of the free music download places like limewire,or kazza will give you virus's, so they only way I would download music is by the sites that you have to buy it from, like itunes or napster, because you can't get a virus from there

Like any "illigel" gotten file you will always be at risk of a virus, but try using something like BitTorrent.
go to http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ and download their client.... then go to a site like http://isohunt.com/ to search for your file....
