I was in the park and i met this black woman who was out with her kid and her husband(who was white). Her daughter was playing with my little bro and she was telling me that she had thrown a party for her little girl (who looked white) but when the kids turned up their parents they took one look at her mom, saw she was black and took them home!They thought because the little girl looked white her mom was too. How can ppl treat anyone this way? Especially children, how can u have a soul and a heart and treat another human being this way?

People are ignorant I am in an interracial marriage as well and I had people tell me how cute it was to see that the nanny has such a close relationship with the kids. The lady even asked me to give her the number to my "Employer" so that she can tell them how well I treat the kids. She turned all types of colors when I let her know they were mine.

People are racist simply because of ignorance. I am multi-racial. (with alot of things.) anyway my mimi i love her but sometimes she was racist. she never bought black dolls she didnt approve of interracial relationships. she bought me a black doll once though and she was like "i am so so sorry but they did not have a white doll like this and i thought it was so cute i went 2 more than one store 2 find a white one and i couldnt." but anyway racism also has alot 2 do with the way u were brought up and where u live. another example my best friend she is not racist and i didnt know her mother was until my friend told me she thought interracial relationships were a sin and it was in the bible so i was like ok w/e. Some people just dont have common sense and cant be helped. and i feel bad 4 that little girl because i know how it feels when u cant be accepted. im black white native american and chinese. but i couldnt be excepted by white ppl (atleast i have not faced racism for a few yrs but anyway) because i was 2 dark and couldnt be excepted by blacks cuz im 2 light and my hair is 2 long and 2 straight. so w/e all i can say is pray 4 those ppl who had 2 the heart 2 treat that child that way b/c thats how ppl stay prejudice.parents showing their children that its ok 2 be mean 2 ppl b/c they look different than u or act different than u or come from different social backgrounds as u

people are people. Some people just cannot except people for who they are. The outer appearance is all that they care about. I wonder what they would do when they find out that they are not all white.
The reason that I said that is because for most of my life I thought that I was all black because my skin is dark. I found out that my paternal Grandfather was Germany and Cherokee and my mother's Grandmother was White and Native American.
if most people who are racist would just trace there roots back the will find out that they are not what they think. Most Americans are not what they think that they are as far as race goes. Americans should not classify themselves by race, but simply as Americans.

I am shocked! I honestly didn't know ppl like that still existed! I mean, I am not naive, I know there are folks who don't like certain races... but to grab your kids and leave? My sons friends told him he was black... and he said 'no I am not!... after a while of arguing, he put it this way; look, my mom is black, my Dad is white... Black and White make TAN! so, I'm Tan!

Unfortunately people just act and think as they have been taught, and most people are on auto-pilot in this regard.
Often these people need help and forgiveness the most.. more than the people they are condemning.
You are lucky to be of sensitive character, and perhaps look on these people with less heart than yourself in a forgiving/compassionate way (however hard it might be at the time).

You can't. Perhaps such ppl really are soulless and heartless.
Racism seems to satisfy some inner need in some ppl.
I personally believe that most ppl secretly believe their own group, whatever that may be, is superior to all others. However, they keep that to themselves and don't act on it.

i onced work at a fast food place and we only had black girl barbies for a happy meal toy,
i had a lady who keeps asking me for a white girl b/c she don't want her granddaurgher to play with black girls barbies
i says, i am sorry, but u should keep it for now
and she wasn't happy
i think people hate others b/c they were told byt their genearatoin
like the middle east war, ireland when catholic and protestn fights
it all created by a stupid idea..
