I think Gibsons are nicer to look at and hold (beautifully made, lovely timbers etc) but Fender Strats are easier to play and more flexible. PRS have the best of both areas and if I had the money I'd buy one!

I always thought of Gibson as more rock'n'roll, you know the Les Paul and all...but Jimi Hendrix played a Fender, so they're both good guitars.

I personally prefer Gibson (i have two) but it depends on who you are. What I cant stand though, are Squiers. But dont get me wrong, any guitar can sound good.
