Yahoo! people search works for me and is free.
Putting the persons name in quotes in a web search is productive also. Sometimes you have to add in a state name if that person has a common name.
Classmates.com can help too.

Classmates.com is free. I have gotten intouch with two long lost friends on that site. Or you can type in your highschool name on your tool bar and go from there...

well, i guess it depends on what you mean by "old".....when i was looking up names from ppl i went to school with, i went to:

or even myspace.com
they are good sites & thats what i would recommend...
