I want to put a password on my computer so that it cannot be used when I am not here. Can u tell me how to do it, please?

1: Use BIOS and lock the case up tight..If you don't lock the case someone can just reset the bios by using the jumpers and/or taking the battery out.2: What operating system are you using??? If you have XP go to control panel, users, and change the way people log on...You can also go to the security plug in etc....Good luck dear

the best thing is 2 do is 2 get a privacy software and put a password on it if u want i could give u sum softwares 4 cheap prices and unlimited usage so u dont have 2 worry expiry at all.

Go to start, click on control panel, click on user accounts , click on change an account, click on Administrator, click on change my password, that is how I did it, works fine for me..... No one can get in or do anything for that matter unless the password is given. Hope I have been of help.
