A good place to start is landing a job with the political party of your choice. Beginning field organized and canvassing jobs start out with decent pay.
You can also take grant writing classes and do something in Public Policy.

try working for the government., or you can be a teacher. there are lots of jobs out there. it doesn't really matter what you studied, it's how you apply them in the work settting
