For example, I've seen people who offer medical advice because they are a "medical librarian", "legal secretaries" offer legal advice, etc. etc. IT'S FREAKING BOGUS AND I WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT BECOMING A FRUITFLY.

Because this is a forum to ask for other people's opinion, advice, ideas, etc. I would hope anyone looking for serious medical or legal advice would look in the appropriate place.

librarians are the ones that doctor's consult if they need information on a certain medical disease, and they have access to all of the most recent information. it's true that they don't dispense meds, but just because they aren't on the front lines does not mean that they don't have the knowledge at their fingertips.
