Oh, and how would you define yourself politically: conservative, middle of the road, liberal, etc.?

Intelligence, the ability to inspire confidence, personal integrity and a genuine plan for this country to follow.

The number one quality I look for is someone willing to stand up and say, "No, I am not voting the way that the rest of you are, because it just isn't right."

I don't even think that the particular issues are that important...it is whether the politician thoroughly researchs what they are before deciding. Also, it's important for them to actually show up on the floor to vote...most people would be shocked to know how often poly's don't even bother to do the basic part of their job.

I want a politician who has experience in the real world--not some rich business person who decided to get into it later...but the pulled themself up from the bootstraps, clawed and scratched to get elected and will forever work hard because they appreciate what it took to get there.

As for my leanings...I am pro-biz, pro-choice, and I am not registered with any party because I take each issue on its own.

Ideally I would look for someone who is not a career politician. Someone who has no ties to any organizations that control the government. I realize that there are not too many of those kinds of people around but I look anyway. Next they should have served in the military on active duty. This would give them a sense of what the military way of life is like. Next a made of sound morals. We don't need another JFK or Babba Clinton to represent the nation. Someone who knows the law and how to apply it properly. Someone who will make sure that his or her administration supplies accurate information before acting upon any situation. I just hope there is someone like this out there come election time.

I personaly havent had a good example in quailties of a political leader, maybe in hundred years there may be one, but its always a good quailty to not lie, and this is for anyone, just tell the truth.

And as for your second question quailty of life is a issue thats important to me, if someone can better that then there a good choice

Honesty, good morals, ability to make tough decisions.
It would be impossible for a single individual to be a good political leader by himself. He/she would have to have a good staff that would also have these qualities in order to advise the leader on all the various issues.

I would be a moderate.

Leadership, Truthful and, most important, NOT STUPID.

I'm a Ronald Reagan Conservative and proud of it. I get a yearly Ronald Reagan Calander and have it on the wall directly in front of me now.
