Pogs became so popular in the 1990s that hundreds of types of Pogs were manufactured, covering a wide array of toys, cartoons, movies, games, sports and images of famous people on the front of the pogs. The popularity of the game spawned knockoffs, such as "Slammer-Whammer," a similar game released under a different brand name. Today the pog craze has tapered off, but pogs can sometimes still be found on eBay and in game and card stores. During the early 1990s, a national pog tournament was held every February 7th in commemoration of the game's inventor's birthday.

Yes, lol, I do. I still have my HUGE collection lol. I will never give them up lol. I even have a pair of POG earrings my science teacher made. They are from Hawaii, where I was living at the time when they were mega popular. I hate the cheap mainland ones lol. I guess I am a POG snob. Teehee:p

I actually found an old unopened package of X-Men Pogs at Wal-Mart afew weeks ago. I bought them and got 2 Wolverines in Space, a Weapon X Wolverine, Blob, and an Xavier Slammer.
Yes I remeber, and they were awesome.

HAHA I loved pogs! I used to think it was so cool that I had so many of them...I had a bunch of different collections. Those were the days!

Pogs were great! I had the best slammer .....all the kids hated me because I beat them all. Where in the world did pogs go?

Yeah, pogs were one of those silly things where you're just kicking yourself in the head saying "If only I'd of thought of that...."

I never played myself. By the time those things got popular in my area of the country, it was already on its way out.

yeah, but they were kinda pointless.......like baseball cards.....except pogs were little round cardboard things with a picture......somehow, i ended up with all the mighty ducks pogs, but i got them at Chik-fil-a........

Yes, I sold them in my store. They were great!!! I had my own collection. And I had the big metal ones too. I think they were called slammers.
