Best advise I can give you is this............picture a 40,50 or 60 yr old woman in a store with a tattoo on her neck. You and your friends are laughing and making fun of her saying damn how trashy, and isn't she a little old for a tattoo, especially on her neck?
Ummmmmm excuse me but that is YOU in afew years.
You may think it is cute and cool NOW but how are you going to think of it later in life? Once you get the tattoo on your neck it is going to be there for a very, very long time. Is it still going to look cute and cool on an old and saggy neck when your 50 or 60?

Ya know...I hate it when people say ALL tattoos are trashy...my ex called me white trash when I got my first one...8 months later he was bawling his eyes out when I finally got smart and left him. Anyway...tattoos on the neck...you really need put some thought into that one...what do you plan to do for a living (or what do you do for a living)? So many companies have worked tattoos in their dresscode - meaning if it is in a visible area, it needs to be covered up. That's probably the main thing you need to consider. And the fact that it might hurt like hell in that spot. If a guy thinks a tattoo makes you trashy, well, guess he ain't the guy for you!

I consider all tattoos on a girl trashy.

The trashiest place for a girl to have a tatoo is right above the panty line, that practically screams I want to get layed tonight. A tattoo on the neck is like a washable tattoo on your arm compared to that.

Yes I think it is because you shouldn't forget that you still have a life to live and do you really want to go through it with a tattoo on your neck? One day your going to be old and you're not even going to be able to understand what it says. lol. You should get it somewhere else but if you really want to get it on your neck and that makes you happy then go for it babez.

I consider any tattoo on anywhere on any woman trashy. I don't have 'em and don't hang with women that do.

umm..i don't think so. but honestly of all the places to be trashy i generally wouldn't think the neck to be one of them.
the obvious places being somewhere near your crotch, inner thighs, long arm sleeves...(it becomes an overload)
women can get away with tatoos in more unusal places because our bodies are seen as more sensuous. just not alot in one area. men can get away with that because it just makes them look tougher.
and most importantly it depends WHAT you get. as long as its feminie small and beautiful...i don't think its taht bad. i'm very tempted to get a tattoo, but not there. i don't think i'll get one because i wouldn't be able to handle the pain or having it permanently.

gross. unless it's on the back of your neck covered by your hair when appropriate. i consider it trashy on a guy, too, for that matter

Well when i get older i want to get my last name on my neck. Its not trashy, why would it be?

The older you get, the trashier it will look. You can't even enlist into the military if you have a tattoo on your neck.
Hmm...and imagine what your future employment prospects will think!
