UNITED NATIONS - The U.N. Security Council approved a statement Sunday expressing "extreme shock and distress" over Israel's bombing of civilians in Qana, However, Mr Bush said it was and is a good day. This is the American way.

An Israeli airstrike early Sunday on a three-story building in the south Lebanese village of Qana killed 56 people, 35 of them children, according to Red Cross officials and Lebanese police. Bush said he was so happy.

Information on the deaths , according to President Bush, said the women and children were warned so it is just too bad." I don't care about the killings of the civilians in the present conflict." Bush said. This is war! so be it. Bring it On!!

The final statement called for the council to work without delay to adopt a resolution for a lasting settlement of the crisis.

"The Security Council expresses its extreme shock and distress at the shelling by the Israeli Defense Forces but Bush said he is proud of Israel.

Why do we support Israel? Do I think the countries surrounding Israel are innocent? No way! But I think that since Israel is going to be there forever, they should try to work more at diplomacy and less at antagonizing their neighbors.

Proud is not a good choice of words.

He has worked effectively at completing the agenda he was assigned. For that he deserves credit. Not reverence or embolden angst.

The president is no different than any other public relations job. It differs in the fact that it is legal to vilify an elected official.

Bush bashing is distasteful but legal. Maybe a tighter reign on society would be better. I would go for eliminating everyone that was not an active member or the Redpublican party. With say a minimum annul donation of one million dollars.

Go big Red Go

He does not have US values. He has disgraced our country by his incompetence. He has created a split in this nation of two extremes. I never saw such extremism in the US before, and hopefully after 2008, the US will go back to it's old ways and not resort to Pre emptive strikes. I would vote for someone whose in the center. But i'm proud of Israel because Lebanon started this conflict and are paying for their idiocy. They thought they could just attack Israel and not pay the price.

Dude... you are either extremely naive AND ignorant.... or you are completely full of it and not even that good at being full of it.

Point 1

Hezbollah has committed more terrorist attacks against Americans (and Israel for that matter) than any other terrorist organisation on earth including Al Qaeda. (Remember the 241 US Marines blown up in Beirut?? I will never forget.)

Point 2

These Hezbollah cowards launch rockets toward civilian targets inside Israel (not military targets) and launch them from as close to civilian facilities in Lebanon as possible in order to effect "collateral damage" to their own population when they are finally retaliated against.

The Lebanese civilians are even WARNED that their area is going to be targeted due to rockets being launched from their location. Now either they want to be martyrs for the cause of Hezbollah or Hezbollah is holding them hostage on location so that they can claim civilian deaths. Either way Israel cannot stand still while their own civilians are being targeted indiscriminately from this location.

Hezbollah are cowards and murderers and every death that has occurred on both sides of the border is directly the result of Hezbollahs actions.

If you cannot see this then you are just as morally corrupt as they.

I'm sure his family is proud. Personally I've never had a reason to be proud of any president with the possible exception of Ronald Reagan when he called the Soviets bluff and had the Berlin wall knocked down.

Yes, I do. Imagine if after Pearl Harbor was attacked we did not drop the A-Bomb. We killed women. Hell we killed children. But so did they enemy, and payback's a ***** ten-fold. The Lebanese Deserve what they are getting. We should not intervene whatsoever, and allow someone else (Isreal) to have the glory of victory for once

Yep! Proud of him (though he could've done something like Israel when they took our two guys and tortured them so much that we need DNA to identify them. Proud of Israel! Think the UN is a disgrace at best and could care less what they say or think. Anything else?

Pround, no, proud yes. Too bad that article there was crap. You are very creative though. I'm amazed at the stuff you come up with. Have you ever thought about trying a career in creative writing? I'm sure you could sell one or two books, if you sold them as fiction.

He is proof that any child, even the ones who ride the short bus, can grow up to become President of the United States. Isn't that at least something to be proud of?
