You have to wait at least a month before taking out the sterile earrings. You need to give the piercing time to settle;by removing the earrings now will allow the hole to close.

I took mines out right away and replaced them with gold diamonds, that was over a year ago and I have had no problems. Just make sure you sterilize the earrings that you're going to put in and keep up the cleansing process they told you to do.

ohh i would not recomend doing that just yet. it will be way too sore at the moment to try and change the earring. that and your other earring may not be very clean and u could get an infection. But if you really hate the earring you have in now and you think you can handle the pain go for it. whats the worste thing that could happen? you get an infection and have to let it grow in and then get it repeirced? personally i would wait at lest a couple of days.

No, first off, your ears require a minimum of 6 weeks to be considered remotely healed and able to swap jewelry. If you pull them out now, they will *immediately* close up, and inserting new, unsterile, jewelry will tear them open and insert bacteria throughout all the torn open flesh. This isn't about "risking" infection, you *will* be infected if you replace it. To make matters worse, if it actually is silver (as opposed to steel), the liquids present in your newly torn-open and wounded piercing will tarnish the silver (think: rust in your piercing) and will further complicate the matter.
If you do choose to take them out now, you're going to have to wait six weeks anyway to allow them to reclose (once you've discovered how much it hurts to force your unsanitary earring through your holes) and repierce them again with new, equally ugly studs. It's better to just endure six weeks of ugly studs than months of pain from infection from an open weeping wound.

I suggest you leave them in at least 3 weeks. You can never be too sure of how long it will take to heal. If you take it out to early, it may be real easy to get an infection. allow the ear to get used to being pierced and some time to heal before switching earrings.

Leave them for at least three or four weeks to give them a chance to heal. My cousin pierced mine w/needle & thread & I had to rinse the threads w/peroxide several times a day & move it back & forth in my ear to keep them from infecting (although they did anyway, not exactly a sterile operation!). I think it took about 3 or 4 weeks to heel up enough to put in earrings - studs only!

Leave studs in ears for 6 weeks continuously (12 weeks for cartilage).
• After 6 weeks (12 weeks for cartilage), the studs can be removed and other post-type earrings may be worn continuously.
x Use only post style earrings continuously for the first 5 months from piercing (12 months for cartilage). The post should be surgical stainless steel or other hyper-allergenic material.
• Keep hairspray, soap, shampoo and other preparations away from the ear. After shampooing the ear should be rinsed with clear water and then prepared with a Studex® supplied Ear Care product as described above.
• Minor pain/redness may occur immediately - this is normal. This should settle within 48 hours provided proper after care is carried out. If undue pain/swelling/redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice immediately, before removing the ear-piercing stud.
EAR CARTILAGE:
Due to the nature of ear cartilage, extra care should be observed during the healing period. Minor pain/redness may occur immediately - this is normal. This should settle within 48 hours provided proper after care is carried out. If undue pain/swelling/redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice immediately, before removing the ear-piercing stud. Failure to properly follow after-care procedures or to seek immediate medical advice should a problem occur may result in permanent scarring to the ear cartilage.

you need to pass to the nutrients courtroom and ask the between the places for 2 ice cubes and ice your ears top up until the time the actual pierce them. I even have my 1st and 2d holes pierced and it did no longer harm all that undesirable. And on an identical time as your getting them pierced, you need to think of appropriate to the ice cream your gonna get!
