It all depends on what your hair color is and your eye color. Okay if you have Long brown hair and green eyes, you really dont need much eye shadow just go with a shimmer shadow, some dark brown mascara, and dont for any reason where red lipstick. try a lip gloss with and mocha tint in it.

When I wear red, I love to wear peach/coral blush and lipstick. I keep my eye makeup brown/beige. If you keep your eyes and your cheeks neutral (brown/beige family), a red lipstick that is the exact same color as your dress would look great. Avoid pinks and reds at all costs. You'll look like a lobster.

Make sure the colors you pick match your complexion and not the outfit.
Trying to match colors to your outfit can really backfire if you are not careful.

Do a smoky eye, that consists of pretty greys. Then do a real pretty lip, with a gloss finish.
