Has anyone had the displeasure of sitting thru one of the WORST movies every released? - MIAMI VICE, 2006 version?
My wife and I did. We use to watch the tv show every week. And our son has seen the dvd's of the tv shows. What we saw at the theater today was a TERRIBLE MOVIE. Many people walked out 1/2 way thru the movie. Save your money - this movie has nothing to do with Miami, the camera is too close up in every scene, and the story STINKS!

I saw it last night, and I have to agree. I was anxious to see the art deco of Miami, the beaches, the Crockett & Tubbs from the 80's, but saw none of that. The only connection to the TV show were the characters' names, and Colin Farrell's pretty decent impression of Don Johnson's voice.

Oh no! That's so disappointing. My husband and I were going to go see it next weekend. We loved that show when it was on and were looking forward to seeing Miami Vice sans the canvas shoe.

I've already heard that it sucked...I'm sorry you had to suffer through that. looks like the film industry is running out of ideas lately. it's either sequels, remakes, or turn a tv show into a movie. almost all of those ideas turn out to be stinkers!

How can you have such bad words for one of the finest directors around, Michael Mann.
I plan on seeing it in the theatre. Loved the t.v. series also.
