Some scientists have suggested that rather than this being the only universe in existence, that there are virtually an infinite number, all identical, living the exact same lives (not some silly probability theory version where they are a little bit different). They can occupy the same space as this one as all matter is essentially made of energy. In a thousand years time, we would surely have the technology find them, so therefore if that universe started a thousand years before this one, then they could arrive here at any time. It would make sense since that would allow them to benefit by giving us technology to further develop so they would benefit in that future life, and we would also benefit. the benefits would far outweigh any negatives. Its a win win situation so wouldnt that be the most logical final step in evolution?

They would benefit because they would relive the exact same life in our universe therefore their future other selves would benefit.

Well....yes and no.
I believe that all of time is happening in this moment... Past, Present and Future. I'd have to go with the "silly probability theory" though!
I do not believe that there are an infinite number of identical universes... What would be the point of that?
If you will take a look at the microcosm of our own world, you will see that there is a distinct pattern of diversity and interrelation. This leads to increase in experience and evolutionary possibility. Seems logical to me that none would be identical, thus increasing the creative fertility... Redundancy isn't a natural pattern to our system.
I think the next step in evolution would be the conscious co-creation of coherent realities and being able to shift fluidly through/between them. I also believe this step to just be another of possibly an infinite number of evolutionary shifts.

You mean a universe that is Identical to our own, but simply with a thousand year head start?
If they came to this universe and gave us technology, then went back to their universe, theirs would be exactly the same. They wouldn't benefit at all because they aren't traveling time, they're superseding space. In other words, instead of affecting their past, they'd only be affecting our future because of the universes being seperate.

yes, parallel universees exist.
one way to look at it is.
a no dimensional object is known as a point.
one dimension, a line
two a square,
three, well us
and four the universe. now, if you have the universe as a four dimensional object the only plausible way to fit infinite 3-d objects in it is for it to be a black hole.
this also allows for wormholes and other black hole in this universe.
this would allow for infinite three dimensional objects to fit into infinite four dimensional objects. also, time though widely accepted to be a dimension is not for the sole reason that it makes two of all dimensions.
to make it simple there , in order for this univers itself to be explained, has to be multiple dimensions.

That's a good question. I don't ever see us ever interacting with the parallel universe, but of course you could look at , say, people who have near death experiences moving towards something , a higher light, maybe they are going that way.
But i tend to think of the "small difference" scenario myself. To think of times when if we had made one small correction , instead of a mistake we made one, and where our lives would have taken us, lends to some discussion.
but we won't really ever know one way or another.

Of course not !!! I think it is pathetic.
In my humble opinion, 'time' is the most universal thing there is. So when we for example say "a moment in time" it is a moment in time here on Earth as it is on the Andromeda galaxy 2.2 million light years away-- so how can we possibly have "a moment in time" in two PARALLEL universes ? How can ONE moment in time be TWO moments in time ?
