1)Take out bread products.
2) No chips, pizza or sodas - no exceptions.
3) No lunchmeats, hot dogs or pork products
4) Drink more water
5) Lots more veggies - cooked and raw. They can make you blotted so if you're losing weight to get into a smaller size, eat these in small portions.
6) Increase exercise - even if in small bursts, 20 min.
7) Add a vitamin supplement to your diet.
8) No throwing up or "extreme" dieting - causes organ damage, poor brain function, poor circulation, bad skin.
9) Eat protein - like eggs - at least every day.

Triming down pounds isn't about "dieting" but about your diet - what you eat and how much. The reason there are thousands of "diet plans" on the market is because they don't work long term. It sounds corny but eating healthy is the best way to maintain good physical condition.

this is tricky since she is so impressionable about her image at this age! Find healthy foods she loves, remove all the "bad" foods out of the house (they're not good for anyone in the house anyways!) and find something physical she likes to do:walk, swimming, aquacize, dance video, a dance class perhaps? I would personally recommend bellydancing (some great ones from Veena and Neena) videos as it is a beautiful dance and will help her coming into womanhood to feel truly comfortable in her skin. I would also recommend joining a support group like TOPS. It's quite inexpensive (I think I pay a total of $90 a year) They are all over and take teens! Good luck and remember to tell her she's beautiful all the time, cause if she doesn't believe it, then even if she loses weight, she won't be happy

Whatever you do, don't starve yourself. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Lean protein is a must. Cut back on refined sugar and starches like white bread. Download some of your fave songs on an MP3 player and walk to the beat. Getting absorbed in the music makes it not seem like so much work.

I suggest first lay off the junk good. (e.g chips, sodas , candy, pizza, burgers) you get the idea. The fastest way for anyone to lose weight is cardiovascular exercises, like bike riding , running, power walking, swimming. All of these can be done in your own back yard at the local park. For zero dollars, good luck !!!

Remember drink lots of water.

Get your metabolism up. look into ways of doing that. start with breakfast when you get up. don't skip meals infact eat more often -- every two hours, just eat smaller portions at each meal than you're used to eating. eat things that are not prcessed, the closer to the way they are naturally the better. whole grains, fruit, not white bread, raw vegs, no sodas, granola not granola bars. read ingredients of store products. exercise and drink water. dont tax your brain thinking about it just do certain things and relax and enjoy life, it will happen.
