dialate quicker?

im dialated 1.4cm from what docs have told me is there anything i can do to make me dialate more sex is out of the question as i dont have a partner and wen u dialate do u always have to get a cramp or can u dialate more and not know

You can dialate and not know... better you can do alot of things to induce labor...

You can dialate more and not know and sometime you have a little bit of cramping. Go for a brisk walk, go for a ride in a truck or something on a VERY bumpy road. I've heard swinging on a swing set at the park can do it. It is all about getting the baby's head to hit your cervix to make it open (sounds horrible but true)

I don't recommend anything, BUT, my still pregnant daughter has been eating a pineapple every couple of days.
Some chemical in pine apples is suppose to cause you to dilate and soften the cervixs, I am not sure of the spelling of cervix.
By the way it has been three weeks, she is 5 centimeters, and still pregnant. With a husband, so sex doesn't help either.
You can dilate like crazy and never know it. I didn't have any pain with either child until 20 minutes before birth!
My daughter can feel her muscles contracting but no pain.
Only the agony of waiting like a beached whale! Poor kid, this is #3 and she is so DONE!

walking helps. It makes the baby's head push down on the cervix which helps with diliation. You can dilate without cramps. I have 5 children and the doctor always told me to walk around as much as I could near the end to speed the dilation.
