Black metal. It seems to be more musical, technically challenging, tricky. Alot of death metal is musically lame and more into lyrics and shock value. If you like both or are unsure check this out: http://www.anus.com/metal/

Black metal. whoever says death is better than black is wrong because black was born from people's observation that death metal was going mainstream and becoming more "comercial". So bands started making metal more underground. Listen to immortal , best black metal band. The only problem with black is that it's so underground there aren't many good bands.

Black metal is like "pop metal" with a touch of glam added, no thanks.
