Laugh at yourself before someone does it for you.
Use caution when winking.
Stand tall, even when you don't feel confident.
Take time to listen to children; they'll learn much from you and vice-versa.
It's better to tell the truth. That way, you won't need to remember what you've said.
Character and integrity are hard to develop, but easy to lose.
Your name is who you are; don't tramp on it.
Always look people in the eye when talking with them.
Resist giving advice concerning matrimony, finances, or hair styles.
Beware of the person who has nothing to lose.
Don't flaunt your success, but don't apologize for it either.
Don't interrupt.
Never admit at work that you're tired, angry, or bored.
Pray not for things, but for wisdom and courage.
Become someone's hero.
Count your blessings.
Don't mess with drugs, and don't associate with those who do.
When someone is relating an important event that's happened to them, don't try to top them with story of your own. Let them have the stage.
Read carefully anything that requires your signature. Remember the big print giveth and the small print taketh away.
Be your spouse's best friend.

" I haven't failed. I've found 10,000 ways that don't work."
-Thomas Edison

-Margaret Bonanno
"I can't help it." ... That's what we all say when we don't want to exert ourselves."
-Eva Lathbury
"It's good to have an end to journey towards; but it's the journey that matters in the end."
-Ursula K. LeGuin
"The world is a wheel always turning. Those who are high go down low, and those who have been low go up higher.
-Anzia Yezierska
"I can stand what I know. It's what I don't know that frightens me."
-Frances Newton

One of my favorites has been this one: "The only time that success comes before work is in the dictionary" and "Practice does not make perfect, perfect practice does" I believe these are quotes from past NFL head coach, Paul Brown.
