As Israel carries out the U.S.’s dirty work, Lebanese civilians who last year won praise from Washington for standing up for “democracy” are now being bombed and their country destroyed--with the political and military support of the U.S. government.

Yeah, the media is not consistent in reporting dichotomies, lies and pretenses.

And the American public is too lazy to keep abreast of what's happening or to connect the dots.

I'm sad that this has to happen. It is not the US that is bombing however and it is not the citizens of Lebanon that are the target. This is Israel's war on those who have announced their plans to annihilate them. Unlike the history of the Jewish holocaust, today's Jews will not remain docile as they are led to their death.

Hezbollah is a group of terrorists bent on murder and destruction.
If they were not taking shelter in Lebanon, there would be no problem for Lebanon. Countries should give a lot of thought before accepting known murderers in their midst.

Where is the US hypocrisy? When Hezbollah ends their reign of terror, the US will undoubtedly be the ones to rebuild the destroyed areas of Lebanon. Or are you thinking because the US gives aid to Israel, this is our problem above all? We also give aid to many other countries and don't tell them they cannot fight for their own lives. We will fight for ours and every other has the same right.

Sad but not hypocrisy.

Are you oblivious to the fact that Hezbollah attacked Israel first and Lebanon did and has done nothing to stop them.

I believe you reap what you sow, Lebanon is reaping sorrow. Six years ago, they made an agreement and they broke it. Their word right now stands on shaky ground, there integrity chinked.
I am personally tired of hearing about poor Lebanon, they have a Democracy, in a democracy the people have to choose and choose responsibly. They didn't, they chose to support people who wanted war with Israel so they got a war with Israel that good deductive reasoning should have told them they were no match for.

If we keep going around feeling sorry for people who make stupid choices we are all going to end up stupid by default.

The Lebanese are not the targets, the Hezbollah are, the sad truth is that the Hezbollah are using the people as shields and Israel is not going to let that get in the way of removing Hezbollah.

I could only wish that the US would have that tenacity in Iraq, then maybe that war would come to an end, sad to say the media would make that impossible.

Ok buddy Hezebolla controls about 45% of the government in Lebanon. So maybe a few citizens stand up for democracy but also many stand up for radical Islam.

Enlightenment is obviously a jihadist sympathizer hell bent on inflicting a liars anti American point of view on Yahoo participants. Hezbollah continues to rain over 100 missiles a day onto the heads of Jewish private citizens and other non-military targets while bivouacking their own troops in Lebanese civilian homes and neighborhoods, resulting in collateral casualties that enable people like him to generate emotionally charged pro terrorist propaganda.

this could be an common one. If the international gets too warm, we've shown that we are in a position to stay to tell the story it with the aid of fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry areas. If the international gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are in a position to stand up to ice an prolonged time, and that's with out any "intense" technologies. If the international gets overpopulated, it is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i do no longer think of we ought to tension approximately surviving the subsequent a hundred years. the authentic question is a thank you to we save the subsequent a hundred years from growing to be to be the subsequent dark Age.

It's not hypocrisy. In both cases, then and now, the US had Israel's welfare in mind.

Wow. The amount of misinformation you find on these web site is nothing short of astounding.
