I would probably go back to the late 70's to invest in Microsoft and go back to the late 1800's to invest in movies and light bulbs.

I think if there really was a time machine, they'd have to make a rule that you can't use it to get rich, you can only use it for educational purposes.
Just kidding. Smart idea you have there.
Seriously, if I could go back, I would concentrate on my family and myself. I would observe myself as a child and get to know my parents the way they were when they were young and be able to see what problems they dealt with. I would be able to understand them better and appreciate them so much more as an older adult than I could when I was their child.
Then, I would go and spend time with my husband. I never knew him until we were in our 20's, and we are now in our 50's... and I've always wished I could hold him as a baby, see him as a toddler, get to know him the way he was as a child.
I would also want to briefly visit my grandparents, and other ancestors... just to see how they really looked (not just photographs, but in the flesh). I think that would be amazing.

I'd like to go back to the 1940's in the US just to see how life was really like in the homefront. I'd also like to go back to the 1980's and see what was going on in the world then at a time when I was a little baby and didn't know anything.

I have so many regrets, and so many things that I really should not have done or said. I would go back to all those times, and reverse them, so that my life would be 10 times better.
