if Israel has u,s,a weapons supplied ,how come they rely on old f-15 from the 1980s?

these planes are old,obsolete you know,there are better bomb delivery aircraft than that,if u,s,a so tight with them ,why so ,so old tech

if israel is a superpower then where are the newest planes and shipes,ant gote cause they israel is a wana be super power ,one day they will grad to big time ,but for now its 80s tech,good ya i know but super good ,,nooops,iran has f-15s too..

First of all, F-15's rock. Second of all, Israel also has F-16's which also rock hard core. Third of all, the United States is not going to give its best stuff to anybody even if they are our allies.

How do I know 15's and 16's rock? Six years in the United States Air Force as an Avionic Communication/Navigation Systems Specialist. Today's most advanced weaponry can be dropped using both airframes and both (especially the F-15) can achieve air superiority over anything anybody else has. Also, the pilot still plays a huge role, it's not just the plane.

P.S. Hitting a Katyusha launcher that has no discernable anti-air assets could be done by dropping a hand grenade from a Piper-Cub. An F-15 can definately get the job done.

Why is America still using The A-10 Warthog tank-buster ?The M-16 rifle ?Why do snipers like using old scoped rifles instead of the newer .50 cal ?
Because they`re reliable ,OK maybe not the M-16 LOL.
Why should Israel use new stealth bombers when they`re currently up against ground fire ?If Hezbollah had aircraft capable of or more than an F-15 then OK they should re-equip.If the F-15 can hold it`s own right now then more power to it.
However IF America sold Israel the F-17 or F-117 then there`s going to be more uproar in the press than there is now.

These planes may be out of date.Considering the proximity of the enemies(lebanon,palestein etc)these plains are sufficient to create havoc.Even passenger planes will do.Futher F-15 can carry huge pay loads.

F-15s are wicked planes. They have high payloads and are screaming fast. And, they're up against...pickup trucks with 20-mile range 100-lbs rockets.

You don't know what you're talking about then. The IDF uses F-15I which is a variant of the F-15E. This is still one of the best if not the best fighter around.

what does it matter on age, go to any air show and you can still see 2nd WW aircraft flying. and during the second world war the fleet air arm still used old swordfish aircraft to sink more modern geman ships and subs.
