Go to a local bookstore and ask for the Walt Disney World guidebooks for adults. You (and your boyfriend) will be surprised!

Last year we went as a group of 5- all adults ages 25-44! We had a blast! We went on rides, ate at some great resaurants, saw some fantastic shows, did wine tasting in Epcot, and so much more. We didn't even have the time to do the nightclubs at Downtown Disney! (That is going to be one of our main goals THIS year!)

Hope you can convince him to go, you will both have a great trip. However, do some research and choose the best time of year to go. (I prefer Sept or Oct, as most families keep their kids in school. Sept is good, too because a lot of people are afraid of the weather-hurricanes)

This year we are going in Sept, and then again in early December so we can see the holiday decorations.

My husband and I have been married for 11 years and have been to Disneyworld 4 times and Disneyland once since 1997. I have to say, you will be ripping yourself off if you don't go as a couple alone. We went twice before we had kids and it was AWESOME! Stay on property and enjoy all the frills. It's worth the extra price because you get extra magical hours where parks are almost empty for resort guests only - hardly any lines and you feel really special.

There are some fantastic thrill rides and a stunt show now at MGM studios that apparently is pretty awesome according to my 42 year old brother who is a single dad and took his 2 teenage sons in March. The Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror make it worth the trip to MGM and Disney has a magic about it that once you are there, you never want to leave and you will ALWAYS want to come back. We were just there in June 2005 and I almost have my husband talked into going back next year. It's truly the Happiest Place On Earth! (AND rather romantic as well as you stroll through the gardens or take in a romantic candlelit dinner at one of the restaurants.) We saw 2 marriage proposals while we were there last year.

Tell him to stop acting like a dud and be a stud and take you!

Oh, God! My boyfriend was the same way at first. We're both 19 and went together for the first time last summer (it was his first time and my second.) My boyfriend wasn't sure he'd care for it at all, but by the end of our trip he was so sad to leave. This summer, he actually booked another trip and we're leaving Tuesday. He loved our trip so much. We stayed at the Polynesian Resort which he loved. He loved EVERYTHING about the vacation. Every ride, every show, every restaurant. I'm beginning to think he's more excited about Walt Disney World than I am, which is scary 'cause I like to think of myself as the biggest Disney Fanatic. There's so much to do, and even though there's kids around the Parks, it doesn't seem to matter. It's such a happy, magical place! You should show him the Walt Disney World website. Show him all of the rides and attractions. There's great fireworks/pyrotechnic shows, and hundreds of awesome restaurants, and the food is so incredible. Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba is a must. It's so amazing, and one of the best features of WDW. My boyfriend especially loved that, we're so psyched to be seeing that again. Also, check out http://www.allearsnet.com You can find out so much interesting, fun stuff on that site, and you can read reviews and find out what couples recommend doing to have a good time. Get the free WDW Vacation Planning DVD! He'll be able to see everything around the Parks.

Your boyfriend's crazy for thinking that way, lol and so was mine! Tell him of my boyfriend and how he's now in love with the place. Your boyfriend will want to go back, too! My boyfriend and I are definitely getting married there.

Let me tell you, as someone who has gone numerous times since 2000, Walt Disney World is more for adults then it is for kids. There is so much to do there but you'll never have enough time to do it. The last time I went was October 2004 and it was my best time there. I stayed there the week before Halloween and the lines were minimal and the weather was great. If you go with a group of friends it's even more of a good time. Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Oh my - he really doesn't know what he's missing out on - my husband and I went on our honeymoon - he had never been there before and he was very impressed - there are many, many places to go and things to do without kids at Disney World - we went to Pleasure Island which is like a cluster of night clubs in one area - comedy clubs, dance clubs, nice restaurants - they also have the Boardwalk which sounds similar but I've never been there - they have watercraft rentals, parasailing, manmade beaches, horseback riding, tons of stuff to do without kids. Disney World is for everyone - the atmosphere is simply magical (I know everyone says that - but you don't understand until you experience it)
They have guide books - specifically written for planning a vacation to Disney without kids - you should buy one or get it from the library and make him look at it. Or if you go to Disneyworld.com - they have different experiences (adults, preschoolers, senior citizens) and they just show you what you would like in that age group. Good luck - I hope you can convince him to go - because you guys would really enjoy it.

Disney world is for all ages.. Disney is close to Universal Studios also with lots of roller coasters and wet and wild (a slide park is close by also. You are about 45 mintues from the beach. You could plan the whole trip and let him pick something to do and then you pick something to do the next day,

downtown disney has an area full of nightlife for over 21's only, so you can point out that his 'disney is only for kids' comment is wrong! they do cater for older guests. the rides are not all for younger people, i took my 20 year old boyfriend in may and he loved it, rollercoasters, 3d shows, the lot. he was amazed by all the effects and how much effort was put into all the shows and rides. there are rides that have age limits and height limits, so that younger kids can't ride, that are geared towards adults. mgm studios is the more grown up park, along with epcot. definitely take him to the stunt show at mgm, it's all fast cars, smoke and fire. it's incredible! and definitely one for the boys. if that's not your guys thing, there are rides of every shape and size. check out the disney website and clue up on all the rides, there are pictures and videos, then sit him down and tell him/show him. if all else fails, pull the 'if you love me, you'll go' line! good luck.

WDW has several parts - Magic Kingdom - good mix of kid and adult rides, including some good roller coaster; MGM studio - mix of kid and adult rides, including a great Star Wars type simulator and a Twilight Zone ride with a 7 story drop, and Epcot, food and rides based on international themes.
Check out the web site below for "Romance and Relax" adult parts of Disney World.

it's not just for kids like alot of people think. there is Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney with clubs just for adults and the Boardwalk Resort also has clubs. go to dinseyworld.com and look under just for adults and find things that aren't geared to kids.

I took my mother for her 50th birthday. She loved it- cried at the fireworks and loves Splash Mountain and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. We were there three weeks last year, going four weeks this year with my brother and his girlfriend and three weeks next year with those people plus aunt uncle and two kids.

Ask him if his reluctance to go is through fear of actually enjoying himself or the rides themselves! Tell him that you will go on the Dumbo ride for him if he can't cope with anything more! Being a man, he will wish to show his masculinity and end up agreeing to go, and because it is Disney World, he will enjoy himself.
