Ask your mom to take you to the doctor. I was the same way. I would go months without. I was told I was just to tense, nervous, high strung. Get this when I was 30, I developed Graves Disease, I went through all the things my friends had gone through when they were teenagers - regular periods and CRAMPS! They still did not diagnosis this - they just told me I was getting older. When I was 33, they found out (after only sleeping 3 hours a night and walking 8 or better miles a night) that I had Graves Disease, then the treatments didn't work and I required surgery, they found the signs that I had had Hashimoto's Disease for so long it wasn't funny. They had to do a lot of clean up from that damage while I was having surgery. They also found Cancer. You could have a thyroid problem, but the only way they will find this is if you go to the doctor and tell him, when you started having periods, what your activities are (in high school I played volley ball, and chased my dog frequently) and how much rest you get or don't get. There are a lot more things they look for for these problems, but not having a regular period tells me you need to get help. Go to google.com and do a search for Hashimoto's disease and all the symptoms and highlight the one's that pertain to you. Do the same for Grave's Disease and do the same. Take them to your mom and say please can I see the doctor now? If she still refuses, seek help from the counselor at school or the school nurse (something I didn't have at my school). Someone should be able to help you. Good Luck.

When you are so young, your periods will be erratic, probably until your 20s when they should straighten out and be regular, like every month. If you are that worried, talk with your mom and have her make you an appointment with a doctor to see if he/she can help you. Be honest with the doctor about your periods, health, etc. If the doctor says that he/she wants to do some tests, then do them and don't be scared. It is only to try to help you.

I agree. You could have your mom set up a doctor's appointment to put your mind at ease, but it can take up to two years after a girl gets her first period for her body to have any sort of regular periods. Don't worry!
