Absolutely - it is really sad when people of different ethhicities let it get in the way of seeing the greater picture. Kids are kids - it doesn't matter who you are, if you lose your child you would be absolutely devastated.

I don't think the ethnic groups are to blame. The "leaders" are. You mentioned blacks so I'll run with that, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, and others are responsible for making a big issue out of nothing usually. However, missing children that make the national news do tend to be white and are many times blond. So there are legitimate issues that need addressed, but the "leaders" generally bring up political correctness issues that are a waste of taxpayer money.

Absolutely correct. Children are children and cannot fend for themselves and should be protected. It doesnt matter their sex or color or ethnic background.
As a matter of fact, the children are the only ones that truly see beyond the color of the skin and backgrounds. All they see is people and other kids. Its only in the future that they start seeing how each are treated and follow suit whether it is right or wrong.
The meek shall inherit the earth and that would be the children of the world.
Nowdays, everything is taken too far. The world is so politically correct in fear of hurting one persons feelings that they make the entire population unhappy.

various groups are going to view things within the frame work of their own unique perspective and prejudices.
I say prejudices in the sense that EVERY one has a prejudice towards something. This pjrejudice is not the vile kind that most people associate with the term. It is the unawares subliminal kind that exists in EVERY human, hence the term human.
Even mother tersa was prejudiced people say she did more for indians then others .

NOT TO OFFEND ANYBODY, THIS IS JUST AN OBSERVATION
Many blacks get offended very easily, while many whites are sometimes a little more laid back.
For example, one time me and 2 of my friends were standing outside my bus after school, when a few black girls just came and pushed right through us. One of my friends said "Excuse me, watch it" (in a kinda rude way), and the black girl thought she said "the b-word", and the girl was about to go after her and basically fight with her!!! While normally a white girl would just sit there and take it. I think they get more offended because of the racism and prejudice in this world, which is perfectly understandable.

I think some people make an issue out of everything, regardless of race. Your example is a good one, so is the white redneck in Louisiana who swears the American way of life is going to hell because MTV plays rap music.
People like to make issues of stupid stuff for whatever reasons they can.

Gee Billy, that was mighty white of you. It's really groovy that you feel this way. Let's all hug.
Wake up! When people make an issue out of anything, whether black or white, they typically had a really negative experience. i.e. racial profiling.
In America, we don't look at people as people. We deal with them based on the color of their skin, and the amount of money in their wallet.

Yes, but they are either the ones most aware of the issue because they are the ones being most affected or they are the ones trying to make the issue because of their own prejudice

Well people all ways use the term "black people" but you do not know all black people so that is really not a fair question, how ever we are all one race "human race. Kids are precious and beautiful.

Well, the thing is that most ethnic groups have SOME people who do a lot of hollering for their rights. This is true with all minorities... even women. You can't hold that against all of them.
