Okay people. It doesn't matter if you are a prostitute or a porn star. As long as you are having sex there is a possibility of getting diseases

if you mean having sex in porn being legal and prostitution being illegal then the reason is because the government considers the porn industry as a form of entertainment.

Because the Pimps oops I mean government can some what regulate the porn industry and get a piece of the profits. Whereas with prostitution there is no way they can regulate. The actually act can take place in the privacy of your own home or vehicle and Uncle Sam can't get his Share $$$$$.

Supposedly, it's a matter of freedom of expression. The constitution protects your right to make a video of yourself having sex.
Technically, porn stars aren't paid to have sex - they're paid to allow people to film them having sex.
Which is, of course, just a load of crap. It's a flawless legal argument, but realistically speaking, it's exactly the same as prostitution. They should both be completely legal in a country that celebrates freedom.

Cause...cause...that is an excellent question! Either way somebody's selling their body. I ques porn is just pictures of your body that your selling...also, porn is less dangerous for the person selling themselves. Because prostitutes are always going off with strange men and they get STDs and they get murdered and raped and such, but porn stars just get 15 year old stalkers...

I think it is for the reason that sex is still considered a family thing.U cant have an employer paying u wages to have sex with others,its just against human society.Although there are more sluts(including men) than there are prostitutes.Songbird i respect ur strength to say that.

because prostitution leads to spreading of std mostly aids and leads to more homicides porn is just porn and you aren't gonna get diseases or get killed from that

I'm guessing it's because there is no physical contact in prostitution - you can't have sex with a porno - well, unless you count masterbation:)
