How can there be a single true knowledge, when there is so many types of knowledge out there? The two basics is the knowledge of science, and the knowledge of religion. Can there only be one? I do not think so. Knowledge in science can be theories and laws, and knowledge in religion is a spiritual factor (out of all the different types, only one is right). They coincide. Just because you have science, doesn't mean you can't have religion.
Now if you are asking if it is fair to say there can never be a single true knowledge of one type, and just different viewpoints, I would have to disagree. There is one true knowledge, however there are many ways to view that knowledge. We are all different beings with different backgrounds and ways of looking at things. We are all looking at the same thing, but not with the exact same circumstances, beliefs...etc. Am I making sense? I hope so.

If it is, then your asking this question is moot, since you can never have true knowledge of the answer, one way or the other.

Is is true knowledge to say that 2+2=4? Or is the answer "4" just one viewpoint out of many? Ah, postmodernism....

The positive thing is that those individuals truths used to be thought of as relativism. As a matter of fact, viewpoint is not only collaterally linked to concept of truth, it's actually what helps us define what the definition of truth is.

the truth is truth no matter if u know it or not, and 2 heads are better than one, so getting together and talking about things to figured them out is great, u might get to the truth faster, but even if u never get to the true knowledge, ur seeking, its still there. its like, god or no god...... it may take a life time, but when u die, u will see the truth.

WOW excellent question, it almost went over my head....I think that if one could acheive a single true knowledge, that would make them a God....so although humans strive for it, I doubt we will ever get it....but seeing as many viewpoints as possible makes us closer to the true knowledge....thanks for the excellent question to make me ponder!

yes it is fair to say that. Mostly due to the fact that in many different cultures the same observation could have been encountered from different viewing angles. Like counting theories, they all exist, they all abide the same principles, but yet they function differently.
