I would use hypo-allergenic make up such as almay or clinique. Use Clinique's Moisture Sheer Tint SPF 15 for a sheer finish, use any almay of clinique shadow(peachy, golden toupes, and metalic colors look great on women with a warm skin tone and pale beiges and neutrals with cool pink undertones look good on women with a cool skin tone) Skip the eyeliner and wear Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara for a natural lash look. Wear Touch pad blush from almay it looks so natural. Wear a clear almay or clinique lipgloss. Continue wearing natural make up like this for a while and then you can slowly learn how to really wear make up and wear more dramatic make up if you want.

i've dealt with a dermatologist for ages. the best makeup i have encountered thus far is clinique and estee lauder. they both carry foundations that feel light. for the sensitive skin, go with oil free. DO NOT WEAR DARK MAKE UP TO STAND OUT. that is the gayest thing i've heard today. if you want to look like a hooker, then yes...wear the dark makeup. i agree with the person that said go to a makeup counter at a dept store and get a makeover. i did that with clinique and they did a pretty good job. if you don't wear makeup much, don't overdo it. tell them you want to look natural. professional does not been slutty. i also recommend to use phisoderm or purpose to clean the makeup off at night. the Purpose takes off eye make p great and is soap free so it doesn't sting your eyes. NEVER sleep in it. if you have a good complexion you might just need some powder/bronzer, some light eyeliner, mascara and a dusting of rouge. pick up a new copy of Glamour. they have some good make up tips

I use Bare Essentials. Its a light translucent powder that makes skin tone more even, but doesnt look caky since its not a liquid. I also recommend just a little bit of mascara to perk up the eyes and maybe a little lip gloss or light blush. Dont go overboard, just look naturaly. I get all of my beauty supplies at Ulta. But any beauty shop should have it. Hope this helps!

Bare escentuals....They are great you feel like you have a ton of make-up and it takes like ten minutes you can buy a start up kit for like $60 but it is worth it and last a long time. It has a cd that comes with it and shows you how to apply. I went from never wearing make-up to not leaving my house without it, this stuff makes a difference. I know I sound like a sales girl, but it really works great and I have sensitive skin too.

I would recommend Bare escentuals. I love their powder foundation it's really easy to use. Start with neutral colors they are hard to mess up with. Then as you get braver you can add new colors and stuff. Simple is better in my opinion.
Get some good mascara
Mark Kay,Smashbox and Maybelline are some good ones. They don't make my eyes itch.
Also a good lip gloss I like Smashbox,Victoria's Secret and Mary Kay. Avon also has some really good lip gloss.

If you're used to not wearing makeup try this:
Two coats of black or dark brown mascara
Flesh-colored lipstick (my favorite is Clinique Pink Spice--very natural pink color)
I don't wear any other makeup than that (except for some gloss). It pulls you together without looking overly made-up.

eyes: brown liner, black-brown mascara, and beige shadow
face: concealer where you need it, peachy cream blush, and a light dusting of translucent powder
lips: frosted pink to peach lipstick with matching liner (be sure 2 fill in the lips with the liner as well as the edges) if you want, top with a clear gloss.

i'd go to a department store and ask for a makeover. then use the tips they give you to learn how to apply make-up and also buy some (not necessarily the high priced types). They'll be able to help you out and give you free advice.
