I learned a few lessons a long time ago....talk to your parents about how you feel. I know it sounds like some crazy psycho family counselor stuff but, hey it works!! If you like to eat healthy tell them that and start cooking your own food. It's hard to tell them you like to eat healthy and your parents have cooked the meal. I promise you if you start cooking your own meals they will come around!! It shows them in a non-confrontational way that you are serious about your choices. Parents work better when they can see their child is passionate about something.

I've been there..and I got kicked out of the house for talking back to my parents. There will always be conflict between you and your parents. You are growing up and wanting to make your own choices, and your parents are learning to deal with their little baby making her or his own decisions. Your parents want to protect you and it will take them some time to realize that you need to find out things for yourself. The best advice I can give is to think to yourself "Will this be important 10 years from now?". That helped to put things into perspective with me and my family.
It really does get easier...it just takes some time.

It's hard to understand sometimes... most parents want the best for their kiddies but they forgot what their kiddies really want. You may want to approach it in a different manner by suggesting to other types of food you want rather than saying 'no thank you'. In that way, they understand your tastes and likings. When opportunity comes when they give you what you wanted, show them your sincerity, happiness and thanks them a lot by hugging them, give them a kiss etc. Parents loves their kids ok... it is a real fact. Good luck and be patience.
