You don't have to, but it does look nice sometimes, but only if the colors compliment ur skin.

I don't usually match my eyeshadow with my clothes. I find wearing the same color shirt and eyeshadow, yes may look nice, but I find there's no "spark" to it. So I use more of a color in the same family, or a color that compliments what I'm wearing.
Like if I'm wearing a blue or pink t-shirt, I might use purple eyeshadow. Or if I'm wearing a yellow or red shirt, I use pink or gold. And black goes well with any color, which I usually use gold for that. :)

I've noticed how pretty this looks too. You don't have to do a straight match, but complimentary colors will work well too... as long as it also matches your skin tone and eye color. It's like lipstick - wear what works for you AND what matches your outfit at that particular time.
With a shirt and jeans, it depends on the color shirt you're wearing. If you're wearing a green shirt, some gold/brown/green hues will look nice. It all depends.

The rules of fashion and beauty are meant to be learned and then thrown out the window! Sure why not match? Just DON'T match EVERYTHING! and please, please, PLEASE don't put it all the way from lash to brow, moderation is key. Maybe a colored liner along your lashline or just in the outside corners of your eyes. Also, think of your complementary colors when playing with your make-up, blue and orange, purple and yellow red and green. Obviously, don't look out there for orange eyeshadow (although I know it exists) but orange based shades, like coppers! Have fun!

It's up to you whether to match what you're wearing or not. It's completely acceptable as is wearing colors that compliment the colors you are wearing, wearing neutrals - it's all in what you think make you look the best

i think it really depends on the event ur going to and what ur wearing
if ur wearing a busness suit u should wear earthy and skin tones but if its a nite on the town stand out and go wild with color that either match or dont match ur outfit

For a night out, blue or purple (or whatever) eye makeup that matches your clothing is cute. I wouldn't suggest wearing it to an office job.

Yes, as long as the color doesn't make you look ugly, or out of bounce.
You might want a similar color, for example, if you are wearing all blue, you might wanna wear blueish purple, or else it will be too blue. Got it?

you should wear eyeshadows that enhance your eye color. Almay Intense i-Color is a case of three colors with a guide of where to put it on the eye to best enhance your eye color. people mostly match their clothes to their eye color, and that's why it looks like they're matching eyeshadows to clothes. =)

NOOOOO!!! never wear makeup that is the same color as your outfit. apply eyeshadow that compliments your eyes. if you wear a pink shirt, that means no pink eyeshadow. same for everything else.
