They truly think it is there responsibility. They really don't want 75% of the population going to hell. Really, they fear this. Would you want to live with that hanging over your head?

They can't help it. Evangelicals are the Borg in disguise. It's all they're programmed to do.
Oh, and to those who think that boorish, obnoxious xtians have a free-speech right to proselytize their fantasies whenever and in whatever forum they want...are you sure? Should atheists, Wiccans, Hindus, Buddhists, and others also have that same right to barge into an evangelical church and start preaching THEIR personal beliefs?

They would be zealots but yes I agree. But then again, there is free speech.
However, especially in the science sections, they should note there posts reflect religious science and not actual science.
