Yes there is surgery for sleep apnea, and it works in most (but not all) people. The problem is that it is often not a permanent solution, so most opt for nasal CPAP. Go to a sleep clinic; they will have the latest information.

It isn't really a surgical procedure. You sleep in a sleep center while hooked up to a machine that pumps room air up your nose all night. When you wake up, a sleep specialist will read the machine's results. If you have sleep apnea, you will need a machine to pump air into your lungs through your nose as you sleep. I use one and they work great. I had been sleepy all my life and had no idea why until my test. With the machine I sleep like a baby and no longer snore.
