That may be done as a security measure for people who try to sneak pics under skirts, in locker rooms, etc.

Depends on where u live or the phone u have. Certain cities,states,or countries (call your local cop shop they can tell u) have laws on books that require your phone to make a noise when u use it. my audiovox cdm-8910 i can turn the sound off. most of my friends phones they cant turn off sound. lucky me lol.

Go to SETUP, and choose SOUNDS. Scroll down to camera, and select SILENT. Choose OK.

Under "Profiles" turn off the "warning tones"
