Certainly Dell. Their notebooks are more reliable than ACER's.

Don't know much about the ACER notebook but have had a Dell Inspiron 9300 for 2 years and so has my son ( and his travels back and forth to University)(mine has traveled back and forth to work and travelled with me on plane trips) - both have stood up and no they haven't fallen apart. As for customer service - when I first got mine I did have a DVD drive problem and after calling them and explaining the problem I received a new one within 5 days that I installed myself and sent the old one back in the postage paid box - so hey I've had great service as thats the only time I've needed them for either machine. In the past I've also had a Dell Axim PPC - have had for over hummm 7 years with no problems.

I own an acer aspire and i couldnt be happier. I think it is a well put together machine. I dont know if you know but the dell laptops have been blowing up and catching on fire lately. I have had a happy experience with Acer and have not had any problems to date.

ACER. the dell notebooks fall apart and are very fragile.and the costomer service is pretty bad as well.if you want a good quality notebook that fits your needs go to cnet.com and check out the reviews.
