Tell her! If she is to old to do it, offer the help! Be sure an adult is with you. Government regulates certain ages for certain jobs. At least have her put up a warning sign.
And anyways, why were you trespassing onto her property? 2nd recommendation, fence it in!

If it's on her property, tell her immediately. If it's city property in front of her house, somebody needs to call the city to fix it. Either way, you are not responsible for filling it in.

Both. Tell her about it and offer to help her. Depends on how friendly you guys are, just let her know that you don't want her to get sued.

I would tell her, and you can offer to fill it for her. She may not even not know it's there. So tell her.

Tell her. If she doesn't take care of it, you could be nice and fill it in for her.

why were you walking on your neighbors lawn? its none of your business. you should say something nonchalantly about it but if she doesnt care you shouldn't either. its not your property.
