What are some cool illusions or magic tricks to impress your friends?

This one never fails to amuse, but it's pretty sophisticated:

Unfold a normal paper napkin until it is only one ply thick.
Then hold it taut by spreading your fingers wide and gripping it carefully with both hands.
Hold it up as if to cover your face.
Hold it right over your open mouth (they don't know your mouth is open).
Then start slowly pressing on it with your tongue.
The moisture on your tongue will cause the napkin to tear apart slowly and you can stick your tongue out through the hole in the napkin as far as you can reach.

I first saw this performed before a packed audience in the San Jacinto Elementary School cafeteria, and it brought down the house.

ive been a magician for a long time. The ones that get friends are close up and hands on tricks. Card tricks normally don't work, unless if you are extremely talented. Start with novice stuff, and work your way up though. Skill is needed to become pro. its MUCH harder than it appears.
Try:
Card through window
Twisting arm illusion
Coins thru table (Jay Sankey style)
Coin thru head (and/or out nose)
and heres a novice trick.....

Effect : 4 aces magically rise to the top.


Preparation : Put the four aces on top.


Secret : You cut the deck. Cut it again . There should now be 4 piles. The one on the right has the four aces. Start dealing three cards to the bottom (of the first pile) then deal 1 to each of the other piles. Do the same to the other piles. Flip over the top cards to show the 4 aces.

Most people are too dumb to figure this one out. Just don’t make it too complicated.
