Would you live in one of those fictional worlds or would you choose to stay in ours? This would not mean leaving the life you know, it would just be like you were born in that world.
If it were me I would probably choose Middle Earth (From the Lord of the Rings).

I'd choose a world I'd made up. I can imagine it:

The trees would be large and twisty and under the bark, which would peel off, would be a purpleish striped inner bark.

The sky would be awesome at night. The stars would always be visible, as well as the moon, and it would light up everything enough so that you could walk around at night.

The moon would be huge and silvery, maybe gold some days.

There would always be music playing to the beat of which you moved and you could dance through the forests with your little black and tabby cats following after.

If I was choosing from a book or movie, Pirates of the Caribbean sounds exciting. Lord of the Rings sounds cool as well.
I think my favorite would have to be My Neighbor Totoro (only the magical things are only seen by kids :( )
and Howls (sp?) Moving Castle.

A place with some magic, and good music of course.

Oh, forgot...
I love Doctor. Who. It would be awesome to travel around in time with the Doctor.

Hmmm... Interesting question. I'd probably have to say the world described by Megan Whalen Turner in her trilogy, The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, and The King of Attolia.
The world she created is a mixture of old and new. The country is in a place like Greece in a time like the ancient world, but with cannons and pocketwatches. Women seem to be treated equally to men, and I've always been fond of the trilogy.

The Bible is Real
I would like to say the Bible when Jesus started his friendship with the disciples. To witness the miracle and hear His words first hand. That would be deep for me. I figure they do not let you have books in some areas for the reason you would escape in them mentally. The wars and battles and scarry points would be upsetting yet historical. I guess I would have to stay in our world with the hopes of seeing the Return of Christ the first would be wonderful if I was back then but the second O BOY

I enjoyed reading "The Borrowers" by Mary Norton. I think it'd be interesting to experience the world as a small person, especially with all the changes in technology since she wrote the series 50 years ago. Using a computer I'm sure would be an experience!

I would probably like to live in ancient Ireland, you know, to be a selkie and live among the faerie and dance about the beltane fire. I could be a healer or a druid who dealt in ancient herbs and folklore, a daughter of the forest and river, whistling upon a flute for the mermaids to come in with the tide.
Sigh.

Valdemar from Mercedes Lackey's series. Especially if I got to be a herald.

Or Magic Time by Marc Zicree. I'd love to see technology die and magic take over.

My last would have to be Sherryln Kenyon's Dark-Hunter world. Very similar to ours but with were-people, vampires, and all other sorts of mythical beings running around. If I could be a "were" of any kind it would be even cooler.

In any fictional world, you say?
Well, I wouldn't be so bold as you and move to an entirely different world, nor would it be from a book or movie, but from a TV show: I'd love to live in Stars Hollow, and maybe (who knows?) be a Gilmore girl.

Yes, I'm a GG fan. I can't help it.

Love Stars Hollow and its pumpkins and songsters.

Another vote for Harry Potter. The first time I saw the movie, when they showed Hogwarts for the first time, I remember thinking that I wish I could suffer a massive blow to the head so I could live in that hallucination.

Two choices actually. I'd pick either the magical community of Harry Potter (raised like the Weasley's as opposed to Harry or Hermione) or Oz in "Wicked".
