Is there a simple . .MOLD-IN- THE-AIR test I can do in my apt.?

by myself? What is the simplest quickest way to test for mold. Apt. smells like Chinese food and makes me dizzy. Especially near the wall between bathroom pipes and bedrom closet.

I agree with Bryon, this is a serious matter. The problem with home mold test kits is that even after you determine there is mold, typically it is hard to tell what to do with the information.

When that wall is opened up, it will discharge mold spores throughout your home unless it is handled by professionals.
You next call should be to a Certified Mold Remediator. They will be able to perform the clean-up without putting you in harm's way.

Since this is probably a rental, I would move heaven and earth to encourage your landlord to deal with the issue quickly and safely.

there are tests that you can buy that you have to send back and they test them for you. you might want to check locally for companies that specialize in environmental health or air testing, or universities might help you out. But no test is going to be as effective as just getting in there and finding out what's going on in the wall. If there is a bathroom pipe leaking, there could be a huge colony of mold in there -- mold loves damp conditions. Chinese food smell.. .not sure what that is but molds have different smells depending on the species and the stuff that they're growing on. Since you are getting dizzy, you should treat this is an emergency, call in the experts right away ..people have died from toxic mold. Do a web search with "toxic mold" and you'll see.
