I have already tried shooting a few times, and I have used a Daisy air pistol in the past. I have just recieved my FID card, and I am interested in purchasing a pistol... I am hoping for some information of which ones I might want to lean toward.

Ruger. You need a rim fire auto loading pistol. Like the Mark III. Its a .22 caliber. .22 is great for target shooting. It has about as much recoil as an air pistol. Just to make sure you know...22 is an example of rim fire. .40 cal is center fire. With the Mark III you get a A 10-shot magazine and the sights are adjustable. I would really go with this weapon to get the feel for shooting. You can see all of the products that Ruger makes at the website. http://www.ruger-firearms.com/

Serious target shooters use single shot. Start with an Air gun. Try Daisy products.
