Are we being conditioned in a society of made up fear and spin by the government to control us?

Fear sells newspapers, fear makes us worry about other things than what the government are doing, fear makes us consume (people purchased pointless flu medicine that would work against this strain).

And the reality was if we didn't live in a house with hundreds of infected chickens and didn't spend all day wallowing in their excrement then there was no danger. It's called Bird Flu because it affects birds and is transmitted by birds... not humans.

But the truth doesn't sell newspapers, does it?

They are keeping it quiet, if it had died down there would be no need or rush to make vaccines. Have us all concentrating on something else while we eat chicken believing we are safe. When the pigeions start dying then people will understand its still around
besides - the virus has mutated already, human to human, they dont want panic or compensation charges against them
BSE crippled the govt remember - so this time no deniasl just no coverage

Have a feeling it depends on what has happened in the world that day. At the moment everything seems to be about the middle east.
I find the media hypes this kind of story, same with salmonella in eggs, mad cow disease and then just drop it when something they see as more juicy comes along.

This week there has been a human case in Thailand. Check out the BBC website for a history of the disease but as for it going quiet I think the troubles in the Middle East have over-shadowed everything recently...

The swine flu is a affliction that has adapted fusing the chicken flue and the complication-unfastened flu. So it now could be unfold by way of birds, human beings and pigs and would kill off all 3 of them.

That's a slow news day story, like global warming and the daily attempts of the democrats to find new ways to trick people into voting for them.

Yes we are, but not by the government it's only by the media. It's buisiness but if you want to watch real news that deals with real events and not just what is the latest scare you should watch your public broadcasting station and look for their news report.

We're not being conditioned by the gov't, just dumbed-down by a scientifically-illiterate media with ADD.
