Band - Lacuna Coil Vocalist - Cristina Scabbia in the present day, some young ones do it to call interest or they do it basically with the aid of fact they like the song, gown, coiffure and physique of recommendations of goths. there's a impressive difference between historic gothic lifestyle and the trendy gothic phenomenon. Goths of historic historic previous have been a nomadic people who had a popularity for ruthless violence. in the present day, gothic is used to describe a lifestyle based usually on a definite form of paintings, literature, and song. cutting-part goths variety from historic goths in that they are not area of a dominant lifestyle, they are area of a lifestyle. word - Evanescence isn't a goth band

Um, how about Bauhaus? The Smiths? Depeche Mode has always been up in my top ten as far as this kind of music is concerned. I don't really consider them goth bands, though, I prefer to think of them as "Modern Rock" bands. I also really like Siouxie, Love & Rockets, New Order, etc. But I'm kinda old-school when it comes to that kind of stuff.
For some reason, I've noticed gothic music culture moving toward the more "Industrial" side of things, and that progression isn't a bad thing at all. I like bands like Le/Atherstrip, Rammstein, Ministry, NIN (of course), Tool, Revolting Cocks, Front 242, Mindless Self Indulgence, Kompressor, Gravity Kills, Filter, KMFDM (and their other side projects), Lords of Acid, etc.
